B&O RAILROAD STATION IN OAKLAND - One of the oldest stations in the country. This Queen Anne-style station was built in 1884 and underwent $2 million dollar restoration in 2000.

MT. DAVIS (Highest Point in PA) From intersection of U.S. Hwy 219 and Broadway St. in Meyersdale, proceed West bearing right on State Secondary Rt 2003. Across RR tracks and proceed 9 - 10 miles to South Wolf Rock Rd on Left and continue to parking area.
MUDDY CREEK FALLS - Located in Swallow Falls State Park is the highest waterfall in the State and is an area of scenic perfection. Framed by tall steep slopes covered with giant virgin hemlocks. The land beside the falls is the site of the 1918 camp of pioneer tourists Henry Ford, Thomas Edison and Harvey Firestone.
OAKLAND, MARYLAND - This town offers many historic buildings and unique shops. Include the self-guided historic walking tour in your visit. Slogan: Rediscover Small Town America. In 1999 Oakland celebrated its 150th anniversary. Breathe fresh mountain air and feel the peacefulness.
OAKLAND OVERLOOK - A classic view of Garrett County's seat of government is available by walking a path to the overlook just off Rt. 39 west of Town.
SENECA ROCKS - Rt. 219 S to Thomas. S on Rt. 32 to Harmon. E on Rts. 33/55 to Seneca Rocks. 1 hour 15 minutes from Oakland. Restaurants in area. Seneca Rocks is one of the best known landmarks in WV. The rocks rise nearly 900 feet about the North Fork River. A 1.3 mile trail takes you top of an overlook.
SPRUCE KNOB -(Highest Point WV) - From Seneca Rocks continue on Rt. 33. The high point is within 20 miles.

SWALLOW FALLS STATE PARK - HOST SITE - 8 mi. from Oakland & 10 mi. from Deep Creek Lake. Meandering trails take you to the most breath-taking scenery in Western Md. Each camp site has fire ring, picnic table and lantern post on stabilized pad and located near modern bathhouses with hot and cold water.
